Eckelwood is ...
Eckelwood is the front to both freelance and personal work by (or involving) Gunter Blokken. Without a focus on specific media or techniques the one and only keyword here is (audio)visual communication. Which is pretty logical since as the number of communication avenues increase, cross-media solutions definitely gain in importance.
To be able to offer a full service I choose - whenever needed - to work with people specialized in certain specific domains of the creative industry. This way I'm able to offer both top-notch work as well as a broad range of services.
Most of all I love working with things related to music, art and culture. I'm always on the lookout for the less-obvious in my work. While not quickly satisfied I love imperfections and chance and often will include this in my work.
Ever learning, never afraid of a challenge and always looking for collaborations.
So Who You Gonna Call?!
Services include, but are not limited to ...
Video work (montage & camera), graphic design, stop-motion, photography, webdesign, motion graphics, brainstorming, consultancy, veejaying ...

Gunter Blokken
Born in Belgium, 1986. Being son of an architect I was introduced to computers at an early age in life. Even before I could write I was copying the text from cereal boxes and whatnot onto the computer. A few years later my first comic made in MS Paint was a fact. And yet another few years later there was the Internet and things would never be the same again. Round 1999 I taught myself to make websites and so I launched my first personal website.
But more importantly the Internet opened up a whole new world to me. I spend hours and hours surfing the web checking out graphic design and photography portfolios from people all over the world. Not much later I got my first digital camera and started experimenting with all kinds of media myself. And here I am, 10 years later still doing the exact same thing.
In the meantime I got my Bachelor in Audiovisual arts, still haven't been able to decide on one specific medium and still experimenting and learning every day. And by the looks of it, I think I will continue doing the exact same thing for at least another 10 years.
